30 Tonne Bogie Open Goods Wagon No. 8959 (UIC No. 20 86 425 2 159-4).
Built 1927 by Scania, Randers.
This vehicle is one of 71 built with removable side pillars and frontal walls designated as a Type TG (ii) which became type TGC in 1941
Renumbered to the UIC numbering system in 1966 and withdrawn in 1975 before being sold for preservation in 1978.
Shall as far as possible not be used for shipments of over the Copenhagen Port railway. May not be used for transit of old sleepers to CVK Ar, and not for the shipment of straw, hay and similar to the Southern abroad.
Original dropside wagon with hinged sides so that it could carry ballast. These have been removed since arrival on the Nene Valley Railway, as it has always been used as a flat wagon mainly for the CE dept .
In 1989 a film crew transformed the vehicle into a stage on rails for the pop group 'Queen's' video 'Breakthrough'. After the filming the underframe was given attention and painted. It was at this time the number 8959 was discovered.
